STARTUP GUIDE
REFRAIN FROM ADDING CHLORINE TO THE POOL FOR ATLEAST ONE WEEK.
Your pool now has an upgraded and beautiful surface. The following recommended startup method is based on procedures shown to produce the best aesthetic and longevity results.
Brushing and monitoring chemical adjustments will be mandatory by the homeowner or by a trained pool technician during the service life of your pool surface.
Pool Filling Day
1. Make sure filtration equipment is operational and the filter is clean.
2. Fill pool to the middle of the skimmer or specified water level. Do not stop water motion, stopping the water motion will likely cause a black ring to form at the water line.
3. At no time during the filling process should humans or pets be in the pool. The water must be balanced prior to use.
4. Add one bottle of a pool sequestrant. We recommend "jacks magic, the magenta stuff." This will aid in the prevention of metallic stains and scaling.
5. Start the filtration system when pool is full and allow for it to continuously run for a period of no less than 24 hours.
Day One
Test the water chemistry and record the results. Your pool should maintain these chemical parameters:

-
PH 7.2-7.8
-
Chlorine 1.0-5.0 PPM (parts per million)
-
Alkalinity 80-120 PPM
-
Calcium 350-400 PPM
-
Cyanuric Acid 30-50 PPM*
******Disregarding these chemical parameters promotes staining, discoloration and degrading of the pool surface. Failure to maintain suggested pool chemistry balance results in the voiding of the pool surfacing warranty******
